Second Life Supply is a new nonprofit looking to improve sustainability and affordability in Charleston’s creative communities. Our expertise is creative reuse, also known as upcycling or repurposing. We connect discarded, unwanted materials with artists and makers who will give them a second life.  We accept local donations of supplies and tools and sell them at low cost, reducing the waste stream to city landfills and providing affordable, inclusive access to art making.

The full realization of our vision will be a dedicated creative reuse center, with a retail store and space for community events and workshops, ideally located in the Park Circle area of North Charleston. As we work towards this goal, we are seeking opportunities to pop up at markets, speak to local media, and hold educational events.

Did you know? Second Life Supply has built a following through twice-yearly art and fashion shows since 2023, curated by local artist Ray Neil. Each show is inspired by "White Elephant" swaps in which artists and designers exchange random assortments of supplies and discarded materials. The most recent show, Fervor, took place in June 2026 at the Gibbes Museum of Art, as part of the local Piccolo Spoleto festival. The next show, a comedic collaboration titled “The Funny One,” is scheduled for Sunday, December 13 at the Music Farm in downtown Charleston.
